H4 extension petition approved on old I-94, allowed to stay legally?

Hi,

Here is the situation.

H4 extension applied and got approved on old I-94 since travelled to India while pending so got new I-94. Filed another H4 extension petition sice first one is pending for long time and did not get any receipt notice even after 2 months.

Please suggest what are the options now?

Allowed to stay legally in US on that approved petition or has to get new I-94? If yes, how?
