Attorney_10
EAD is not a "status." Generally, an individual may remain in the U.S. in a period of authorized stay while his/her application for adjustment of status is pending and may work pursuant to employment authorization card (EAD). When one works pursuant to EAD s/he is no longer maintaining valid H1/H4 nonimmigrant status. Generally, no new I-94 card is issued in this case. Please schedule a consultation with an experienced immigration attorney to discuss the specific facts of your case. Link to comment
