I recently heard that it is acceptable to work in H4 dependent VISA status if we are self-employed or if we work for a company outside the US and that the payroll is not being run in the US. Can anyone clarify me on this? Link to comment
JoeF Posted February 28, 2012 Report Share Posted February 28, 2012 You heard wrong. On H4, you can not work, not even remotely for a company outside the US. It doesn't matter where the company is located, it matters where you are located. As long as you are in the US on H4, you can not work at all. Link to comment
