H1 Transfer to a new company

Hi Group,

  I got selected for a new consulting company and they are asking to transfer my H1. If I start the process of H1 transfer and if I get any query, and because of that If I decide not to proceed with the new company and remain in the current company only. Can I do that. Will this query give any issue to me in future in H1 extension or PERM filing via my current company.

The query should not create any problem for you and wait until you receive the approval before you start working for the other consulting company.

Generally, an individual who is maintaining valid H1B status with Company A may elect to begin working for Company B, once a change of employer petition has been filed and received by USCIS or s/he may choose to remain with Company A until the change of employer petition is approved.
