I-140 / I-1-485 denied... what happens to H1b visa if beyond 6 year cap

I am beyond the 6 year H1b cap but currently have an approved PERM and pending I-140 with 1 year extension for H1b.... What happens to H1b visa if I-140 is denied or revoked by employer before 180 days have passed since I-485 is filed? Does that invalidate the H1b visa also? Am i out of status ? What options / timeframe do I have to appeal or look for a new employer? thanks!

Your H1 remains valid until it's expiration. You would not be able to file an H1 extention if you don't have another case in the works.

Thanks for the reply..... Another question though...... What if my I-140 is denied while my H1b is still pending approval. Will that also invalidate the pending H1b ?
