if I140 or 485 gets denied, what happens to EAD

I have EAD valid till 2013 and we have filed GC in EB1.

Our I140 is currently eclipsed by a RFE.

I wanted to know - if i start working on EAD now (which i assume means letting go of H1) and unfortunately our I140 or 485 is denied, can i still work on EAD till its validity or it becomes nullified the day the GC process is denied.

Assuming you are not filing an appeal, the EAD becomes invalid when I-485 is denied.
