ashluck
I have H1B visa stamp of my previous employer valid till 30th Apr 2012 but I have the approved petition and I-94 till Apr 2014 from my current employer. I will be travelling to India in April 2012 and coming back to US on 25th April and will be entering US using Visa of my previous employer. I will be showing the approved petition of my current emplyer at POE and also copy of current I-94(this one I will submit whicle leaving US) as well and other relavant docs if needed. I know that based on this I should get an I-94 till April 2014 but assuming POE Officer gives me I-94 only till my current Visa stamping which which would be 30th April 2012.What options would I have to get I-94 till April 2014 after that I can try CBP but if that does not work, go out of US and get a new stamping and then come in, will that be the only option? kalyan_ac
Yes, you can go to a CBP office and that should do it. Yes ofcourse the other option is to go for stamping and comeback. But why dont you go to stamping now when you are already visiting india so that you get stamped till april 2014. Link to comment
