New Pending h1b terminated can i go back to valid old h1b

I have recently filed h1b with new employer. It is still pending and couple of paystubs was run. But i lost job at my client and my employer terminated H1B. But i have old H1b still valid.

My old employer is not aware that i have moved to different company. Can i go back my old employer and find a job. Does my old employer need to do anything for it.

Please respond or will i be out of status??
