I am considering delaying filing the i485 and file for only i140. This is because my spouse is not with me right now and later on when we are together I would like to file for i-485. I also plan to join my spouse outside of US for 1-2 years before coming back to the US together. How long can I keep an approved i-140 petition valid without filing my AOS? Appreciate your help!
