Birth Certificate Issued now - Is it valid

Hello Friends,

I had to file my I-485 as you know that I need to have birth certificate.

Unfortunately my parents have not registered my name in the dept of birth and deaths .

Can I get a birth certificate issued now ? Will this be a valid certificate do I have to attach affidavits along with this certificate .

Please advice.

Please advice what all the different scenarios for the validitity of BIrth Certificate.

You need to get a non availability certificate (a certificate that says DOB certificate is not available) from mandal office or muncipality. Along with this you need to submit at least two affidavits.The affidavits can be from parents or any other relatives who are at least 16 years the year of your birth.
