L1B extension got RFE & L2 extension is in initial review

Hi All,

Me and my wife are currently in US. My L1-B/I-94 will be expiring on March-12 and My wife's L2/I-94 is also expiring on the same day. My Employer has filed a extension in Jan-12 and today USCIS issued a RFE for my case with a deadline until May-12.

But my wife case status is still in "Initial review". My question is does USCIS make any decision on her case before I respond to the RFE? Or will they wait for my RFE response?

I'm confused. Would really appreciate your response.

Ordinarilly, USCIS will not adjudicate a dependent's case before they complete adjudication of the principal spouse.
