L1A TO H1B

Hi,

I am currently on L1A for past 2 years and I just got extension to stay 2 more years till Feb 2014. I am looking for better prospects? so please advice me on the following

1. If I file H1B with a new employer in 2012? When do I need to start with the new employer?

2. if My H1B is approved and effective from Oct 2012 with the new employer? Will I lose my L1 A status?

3. I want to continue on L1A till Feb 2014 and then use H1B, is that possible?

An H1 can be filed up to 6 months before the start date, provided the quota isn't full.

If you want to stay on L1 until Feb. 2014, an H1 couldn't be filed until Sep. 2013.

Thanks for your reply, one more quick query

I have valid L1A till 2014.I apply and get H1B in Sep 2012. Can I continue working in L1A till I get a good job and then use my H1B for that?
