krpatel Posted February 7, 2012 Report Share Posted February 7, 2012 Myself and my wife both had to go for H1-B stamping at the Mumbai consulate and our dates were January 11 2012. our appt time was 1000...we arrived at 0945, and after going thru the required screening process our number appeared and we went to counter 6..he seemed to be nice..btw, I work for a big hospital system in florida as a direct employee and my wife works for a pharma company..this our 3rd renewal.. here it goes: VO: good morning..I will first ask you questions sir and then to the lady.. Me: said ok VO: so what do you do at xxxx? me: work as a biomed VO: you are an employee of the hospital me: yes VO: where did you work before me: company yyy VO: and then you switched to this hospital me: yes VO: how are you related to this lady me: my wife VO: how long have you been married for me: 4 years looks at my wife and tells her " only you can confirm that, and smiles at her VO: your visa is approved you will get you ppt in 2-3 days then he interviews my wife VO: mam which company do you work for wife: company uuu VO:whats your job title wife: senior research scientist VO:educational qualifications wife:Master's in pharmacy from boston VO: yearly salary wife: $dkdd VO: right now i cant approve your visa, just follow the instructions on this sheet and the faster you give us documentation the faster we will get back to you he hands her a green slip..appararently her job fits into to TAL...we sent them back our documentation via email on jan 13 and it got updated on website on feb 3( exactly 3 weeks)...she got her ppt with stamp in 2 days... overall, the experience was not too bad...just be patient and have the right documentation..
