H1B job role change query

Hi,

I am completing 5 years on my H1B. I initially had job role as "Programmer Analyst". Last year in July, with my final extension on H1B, my role was changed to "System Programmer Analyst".

Now with little more than one year left on my H1B, i have opportunity to move to Manager role for the same project i have been working on. This will be more like architecting similar project and managing bigger team.

In parallel, my GC processing was started late last year and is pending with prevailing wage determination.

Does it make sense for me to change to Manager role at this point and seek H1B amendment for the same? What is the possibility of H1B approval on job role change to Manager and do i need to make adjustement to my GC processing too?

When ever your work responsibilities change you need an H1-B amendment....

As long as your job and company is legit no problem in approval
