nrkam1 : you can go to canada visa stamping to either DC or detroit -- you will get it on the same day itself.

Nkram1 : you can get the canadian visa in 10 days if you apply to detroit by mail . I got my in 10-12 days . There are bleak chances getting dates for canada for vancouver and ottawa since its a rush going on these two places.
