Job Ad posting in newspaper of general circulation

Is it mandatory to place the job ad in a newspaper that circulates in the county where my office is located ? My problem is that my employer has already placed one Sunday advertisement in a widely popular newspaper which circulates in three other neighboring counties but not in the county where my office is located. Is it OK to place the weekly ad in a local newspaper in our county and proceed with the two Sunday ads with the newspaper my employer has already placed ads in?
