I am going to join company Y and they filed my H1B transfer in premium. i received the notification today that the approval receipt mentions that H1B effective date as 2/3 where as with 2 weeks notice (that i have to give to my company X) i would be at 2/10. Is it legal to continue working with my current employer till 10th Feb ? I am not sure if my current company would even agree to a 5 day notice period . Please advise if i have a time period by which i have to join the new company after the new H1B effective date that will allow me to give the notice period in my current company. Link to comment
