Need info about getting passpost back after 221g Struck in Canada

Hi Experts,

I am planning to go to Ottawa on April 1st. I am planning to leave to india on 10th April in either succesful stamping (or) 221g Struck

What is the procedure to get the passport back from counsulate incase struck with 221g?

How many days will it take typically?

Any information on this one is appreciated.

If you get 221g - You will get an email in 1 day asking if you want the passport Back. Reply to the email - YES.

You can collect from the DHL office within 2 days.

YOu always have the option to get the passport back just my calling or mailing consulate. I suggest to go in advance ..atleaest a month. I strongly suggest not to plan your schedule very tight. I prefer to attend interview atleast one month ahead. In that way it will be helpful in case of any query. I did the same thing.
