agwlgau
Hello Sir, My H1B Ext Petition has approved yesterday, as per attorney it would take atleast 10 days to receive it with new I94. However I have to travel India this weekend 21st Jan 2012 due to very urgent reason. My current Visa and I94 has expired. As per some of my friends I can still travel without any issues. Later approved petition with I94 can be sent to my India address once Attorney will receive it and I can go for stamping. Please advise if I can travel to India and if that would have any impact while I would go for Stamping and later at port of Entry in US... Would there be any additional document that my employer has to provide me? Regards Gaurav Link to comment
aparupal
There won't be any problems for you to travel and get a fresh visa stamp on your passport once you get your approved extn Link to comment
agwlgau
My issue is that I would not be able to receive approved petition due to mailing time it would take to reach my attorney before I will travel back. Please confirm if there is anything that I need to take care of? Link to comment

wiweq
When you leave USA, they dont bother if your I 94 is expired or not. Second, photo copy of I 797 should work at POE. Make sure, you have print outs of your badge, email communications with your manager and HR, just in case. Link to comment
