Can i apply for I485 without working with previous employer

Currently i have a approved I-140 with my previous employer and PD is current now. Recently i joined a different company as a full-time employee. Can i file I-485 with my previous employer without even working for him now ? Is there any rule to work with him after i get my GC approved ?

You would have to start working with the company that filed the I-140 when the GC is approved. If you don't, it would be fraud.
