H1 General Questions

Hi Everyone,

I am currently on H1 (L1 -H1 - H1 transfer) status which is valid till 2013. Now I am planning to go to India and I think I must go to Ambasy for stamping. I want to understand few things before I take any further steps.

1. Is the L1 still valid? If I don't get my H1 stamped, can I enter into US based on my L1?

2. My dependents have H4 based on my old H1. Do I need to apply for H4 based on my current H1?

3. Currently I am a Full time employee to a US company. What is the success rate of Visa stamping.

4. While country is better for stamping. India or Canada?

5. What kind of queries we are getting now a days in India?

I appreciate if someone could shed some light on these.
