First Time H1B in Canada from F1- requirements, pointers and experiences

Hi All,

I recently got my H1B application approved and I was wondering if will be OK to go to Canada for stamping. This is my first H1 and I was previously on F1. I am FT and work in medical devices industry in CA.

1. For first times, is Canada OK? If it is, which is the best consulate to go to?

2. What visa would one require to enter Canada and how long is the visa valid for?

3. Any pointers or tips?

4. Please let me know if there is anyone in the same boat, or someone with similar situation who got H1 stamped.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thinking of stamping ASAP (Feb'12).
