L1-B transafer to H1-B

Currently I am on L1B with company A. Right now I am in US. Another company B is processing my H1-B.

I have a constrain about changing my company A once H1-B is approved.

Can i remain in US and work on L1-B even after H1-B approval.

Few says it is not allowed to remain on L1B but so many of friends are still working on L1-B though their H1-B is approved.

Please help me out with correct answer.

Ordinarilly, a change of status takes effect automatically on the effective date noted on the I-797.
