Depvisit317
Hi, This is an opinion thread to know the affect of having a Birth Certificate Vs Non Availability of BC and its impact on I485. Please see questions below- 1. Would having a BC make the I485 process easier/smoother? 2. would having an NABC make the I485 process slower (even when you justify the NABC with evidence)? 3. If you have any friends who got their GCs, please call them and ask what they submitted. Was his/her (spouse's) DoB after 1970? ****This question is Imp****Do not forget to post the response please**** Note- This question specifically deals on BC Vs NABC. The registration date, issue date and affidavits aren't the issues here. So please be generic. Link to comment
tusharvk
if you were to go with the i485 instructions, either birth certificate or secondary evidence should suffice. I am not sure if the attorneys would prefer to submit the nabc or wait to get rfe and then submit the secondary evidence. In the latter case, it would be time consuming. Link to comment
