Company restructure (new entity)- I-140 pending

I am in my 6th H1-B year with PERM approved and I-140 pending since March 2011. Recently my company has undergone re-structuring resulting in formation of a new entity. I am now employed by this new company. My attorney has already filed I-129 for change of employer. My question is how this will affect my pending I-140 and GC process? Is it possible to amend the pending I-140 to reflect the current employer?
