1) If visa is rejected or 221(g) slip ... can we re-enter USA with just the petition and wait while working?

2) For canada visa .. whats the purpose of visit answer to the question?

3) If plan to come around the 20th as well but I am applying today or tomorrow to canda cisa office in LA .. do you know how long for getting the Visa?

No you can't enter unless and until if you have a valid US visa.

If you apply in person it will take 2 days as far as I heard, I am also planning to go to LA this week for my Canada visa stamping.
