Passport number incorrect..Urgent Help...

I went to US consulate ottawa for an interview of H1b on 4th of jan.

I just realized my passport number in the file is incorrect.

They put me in 221g and now I have the passport.

Can you please suggest me what I should do I just sent them an email saying please correct the passport number to ... in the file.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated...
