Concurrent I140 amendment and I485 filing

My company has been competely bought over by another corporation. New corporation is in the process of doing I140 amendment. My job duties, location, etc have not changed.

Today I came to know that my priority date will be current on Feb 1st, 2012. Can I file for concurrent I140 amendment and I485?

I was under impression your I-140 was approved. If not, you can do premium processing.

My I140 is approved with my previous company. This company is completely bought over by a big corporation. New corporation will be filing for I140 amendment. And will file concurrent I485.

I don't think you can do anything to speed up the I-140 ammendment. I am also not sure how much it will impact your I-485 processing. In the 6 months that the USCIS usually processes I-485, the ammendment should get looked at. Ask your lawyer - maybe they have a better way.

This is exactly I have the question. We have option filing I-140 in premium independently, why can't we can file I-140 in premium when concurrently filing with I-485? Is that amendment has a different rule than filing new I-140 with out amendment (no date porting)?
