Can I apply for EAD for my wife while her H-1B is under processing?

My wife has applied for H-1B Change of Status (F1 to H1) through her employer and it is still under processing. My priority date might very soon be current. Can I add her in my EAD and I-485 application while under H1-B is still under processing? ( She wasn't added in my PERM labor and I-140 petitions)

Because EAD and H-1B both are petitions for work authorization, I am wondering if we can apply for both at the same time. Any response is appreciated.
