DCL
Hello All, I have received 222 (g) from US consulate in Toronto and been asked to travel back to home country to get the visa stamped, even though they have approved my visa. Please if any one can share their experience. Thanks. Link to comment
avasi36
When did you attend the interview? Wasn't the VO able to verify your education information? Did you do your masters in USA? These might be the factors. If you can provide this information you can get better response for your question. All the best. Abhi Link to comment
DCL
When did you attend the interview? Wasn't the VO able to verify your education information? Did you do your masters in USA? These might be the factors. If you can provide this information you can get better response for your question. All the best. Abhi Hello Abhi, I interviewed in Toronto; and yes I have done my masters from USA. VO officer said there good and bad news that your visa has been approved but i cant get stamping here but need to got to my home country for it. As my I-94 had expired and was in US continuing my education with legal status. So VO officer said due to some rules and regulations i wont be able to get stamping here but need to get it from my port i.e. Mumbai. VO even kept my 797 with him and gave me a letter with section 222 (g) crossed out. But he gave me back the bottom detached portion of the 797. Any one with some more knowledge and idea about this your replies will be of great help. Thanks. Link to comment

avasi36
Did you had an expiry date for your I-94 while you were on F-1 visa. Usually I-94 does not have an expiration date while you are in student visa. vasi Link to comment
