EB3-EB2 porting. Applied 485 before porting approval

Hi,

I have applied EB2 140 last month with a different employer porting my previous EB3 140 with PD 10/2007. I haven't got my 140 approval yet, but since my PD became current (according to previous EB3 140), I applied 485. I got 485 receipt with EB3 category and previous PD listed in it.

Does this mean my previous 140 is ported successfully? Or is it considered as a mistake and I get a query?

My attorney told that 485 application will be automatically updated to EB2 once my new 140 (porting) is approved. Is that true? Is it worth upgrading my 140 application to premium and get approval sooner?
