H1B 221G In Vancouver canada

Hi ,

Please help for this question of mine.

1) Can we take our passport and go to India even if we receive a 221G form in Canada instead of waiting in Canada?

I was also wondering if the case remains active or no if we take our passport back. I heard someone say we can do it.I want to take a second opinion.

yes, you can email the consolate and ask for the passport. when did you attend the interview in Voncover? how long have been waiting for??

I did not attend the interview yet. My interview is on jan 30th. I was wondering if I get a 22G and want to go to India. Can i do it .How will I know if I get my Visa approved or no from the candaian counsulate then?

@Acepk- Oh god..dude what you mentioned in subject line gives wrong impression to most of the viewers on this forum about Vancouver.

To answer your questions, if you get struck with 221g and consulate holds your PP, then you can always get your passport back with an email request. If your VISA is approved after 221g/admin processing, then consulate sends an email to the one mentioned in your DS-160. In general you will have ample amount of time like 30-40 days to come back with your passport and get it stamped.

Consulate email address and phone numbers will be provided to you in case if you come under admin processing.

Hi Acepk,

Please change the tittle, it confuses as if you got 221G in Vancouver. As far as I am seeing in this forum there are no 221G's till now.
