email notice of h1b approval has i 94 number - does it mean that COS had been approved?

Hello guys,

I need your help about cos issue.

My employer filed new h1b in Dec 2011 under premium processing with COS request.

It got approved on Dec 23 and my attorney received email notice that petition has been approved with my information on that.

Consulate notified section is blank. But it has got the I 94 number on it which is the same as the one we submitted during filing a petition.

So I 94 number is mentioned . Does it mean that my petition approved with COS ? I need to know that as actual notice will take time to arrive and I need to know if I have to leave the country for stamping.

It is approved as COS . u can continue to stay .

Thanks. it was such a relief.

I read somewhere on the forum that people still get I 797b ( without new I 94) even though email approval mentioned I 94 number. So I was quite worried.

More suggestions will be appreciated.

My application was change of employer and extension of stay. I got approval email that had I-94 and No Consulate notified too.

I received original approval notice form my attorney's today and It has I-797 A with I-94 card attached to it.

I believe you will also get the same.
