noauditplz
To All Gurus and Attorney's in the forum, Company A applied for my H1B while i was on OPT and I had I94 document from F1 visa. I've transferred H1B's from Company A (within 2 months after H1 kicked off) to Company B (stayed with this company for 10 months) and then to Company C. I-797A document for Company A has the I-94 #. I-797A document for Company B did not have the I-94 # on it but I transferred to company C successfully. I797A document for Company C has the I94 #. I-94 number on I-797A of Company C is same as from Company A I797A document as i did not leave the country. "I-94 issued for company A was still valid while i transferred from Company B to Company C". I got my Visa stamped on Company C's petition and travelled to india 3 times with new I-94's issued everytime without an issue. my 7thyear H1B extension is in progress based on I140 approval. please let me know whether I was out of status during the period of time I worked at Company B as i did not have I94 # on my I797A approval document from them. Attorney states that it might be a printing mistake as I was issued same I94# for transfer to Company C. do you guys think i should take infopass appointment to clear out things ? Link to comment
noauditplz
Just an update. took infopass and USCIS rep confirmed that it should not be an issue and could be a printing mistake as mentioned by my attorney. Link to comment
