EB3 to EB2 with same employer

Hi Guru's

i have a question

my employer applied my GC in EB3 in 2008 ,if i want to switch to EB2 what are the options i have .

actually i have Bachelor Degree (3years) from India . 1 year diploma in computer science .

and 12 years of work experience.

if i get promoted to higher position can i apply for EB2?
