Can I port my priority date?

Hi

I am currently stuck in India due to visa issues and planning to stay in India for longer time (> 1 yr).

I have my labor approved with my current employer and will be applying 140 soon.

In future when I return to US new employer after say more than an year, can I port my priority date with the approved 140 from my current employer.

As long as you have a copy of I-140 approval, you should be able to port the priority date.

PS: As per my understanding, I-140 is the property of the employer so they don't have to share it with the employee. But I have read on this forum that there's a way to get the I-140 from USCIS. But not sure how..

Looks like of late revocation of i140 by a previous employer stalls the porting of the PD.
