Has any one gone to Mumbai for first time f1-h1 stamp?

i will be going for my first h1 stamping in mumbai in feb '12. this will be my f1-> h1 . even i see very less threads. One person from my company went for h1 stamping in mumbai some 2 weeks back. his went into Admin processing. he did not have MS from US but he got hist first h1 stamp in india. and then came to US and then in US got an extension. I dont know details why they sent to Admin processing.

I will be going for my first H1b stamp....F-1--->H-1b in Jan 2012....E-C model.....I am working for a reputable american IT company and I asked my company's lawyer and he said so far from my company no one has been delayed for the Visa in India....

It your employer is a legitimate employer, there shouldn't be an issue. They asked the following questions to my best friend who recently got his visa stamped in Mumbai

q. Where do you work ?

a. xxxxxx

q oh so u work on ****?

A yes.

your visa is approved.

Next day he received passport with visa stamped.

Hi , i will be going for h1 stamping in Feb 2012 as well . I was on F1 , got my H1 approved in 2011 . I am working for major financial client and there is only one layer in between which will be EVC model . I have been provided with Client and Prime Vendor letter as well . My employer also filed for h1 amendment . I have all documents including client/vendor letter , W-2/Pay-stubs from last 3 years . Looking at my situation i feel that i m in safer zone but as u all know we cannot predict it , as luck plays major role in it . I will lets you guys know as soon as i book the visa slot .
