When Affidavits are required for NABC/BC to file I-485

Case 1: No birth records available, obtaining NABC

Case 2: Birth records are available (registered at the time of birth), obtaining Birth Certificate

Are affidavits required from parents/uncle in both cases or only in case1 or in case2 too for I-485?

Birth affidavits are required in Case 1 and in Case 2 if the birth certificate doesn't contain any of the following information: child's full name, parent's full names, date and place of birth, date of registration. It is also a good idea to provide secondary evidence.
