Edged
My company has filed my PERM recently and it is pending (my PD is current at this time). At the same time, we are in the process of applying for provincial nomination in Canada (not received yet). Will the Canadian provincial nomination process have any negative impact/effect on my US green card process and vice versa? We have not applied for permanent residency in either country yet. JoeF & other experts, your response will be much appreciated!! Thanks a lot! Link to comment
JoeF
They are independent, but when you get the US Greencard, you would have to give up Canadian Permanent Residency, since as a US PR, you have to live in the US, which is seen as incompatible with having permanent residency elsewhere.
