priority date current and wife is in india

Folks,

Most of us got GC current and hope today bulletin brought smiles and a sign of relief for many after a long wait. I am in a situation where I am not sure what to do. My wife is in india and she will be back by Jan 12th.

My questions:

Does this mean that i can file my 485 in the month of january and not now ?

Can I file for her when she is in india ( i doubt, since the form asks current I94 which i dont think i can provide)

Can i file now for me and add her later in Jan 12th. does this trigger anything?

or can i wait till jan 12 and file for both.

if next month bulletin retrogress, then do i have time till jan end to file for me?

For the medical, can i ask her to do it there and myself locally and prepare stuff till jan 12th to save time or its better to wait nd do it here.

Since my wife went to india on family emergency, I dont want to prepone her travel and at the same time i dont want to miss this opportunity since i was chasing this for 5 years.

The Visa bulletin that just came out is for January. If you are not current in December, you can't file anything yet, anyway.

And an I-485 can only be filed when the person is in the US.

And every adult person must file him/herself. You can't file for someone else.
