L1 B ext denied and the current L1 B valid till 28 Dec 11 cancelled

Hi,

My Husband was working in US on L1B and his visa was valid till 28th Dec 11. He came to India for his Visa extension in Nov. The officer denied his extension and also cancelled his existing Visa which was valid till 28th Dec 11. The cancellation stamp stated "Cancelled without prejudice". The officer asked him to apply under other category as L1 Individual or H1. I was on L2 working on EAD and was in US while my Husband was visiting India for his Visa. We thought if the extendion is rejected he would atleast come back on his visa and we would wind up easily but since his current visa was cancelled I had to leave my job and come back to India within few days. I don't know if this situation was experience by anyone.

Now my husband's company is apply for his L1 Individual if it is approved will I be able to work on the same EAD or I need to apply for a new EAD?
