Hello Friends,

Good Morning.

With all your wishes - I got my I-140 Approved . Thanks for every one.

My priority date is April 18 2011 - and my H1B is expiring ( 6 yrs ) on Sep 2012.

1) Will I get my 3 yrs ext on H1B based on I-140 Approval - when I should apply . Does it depends on project duration .

2) Whats the next step in my GC process

3) What is the expected time frame for me to get my Green Card.

4) Does it have any impact on speed of process based on H R 3012 Fairness act.

All yours :)

Thanks/Priya.

1. H1B extension can be applied 6 months before it expires. For fulltime, usually H1B is extended for 3 years after 6 years. I cannot comment on contract jobs.

2. You just have to wait till your PD becomes current. File 485 when PD becomes current. Meanwhile you can get all the required documents for 485. Birth certificate, etc, etc, consult an attorney. Just stick to this employer. If you change employer, you will have to redo everything again.

3. No one can tell this. But as of now, dates are moving like crazy. You'll get it soon compared what it was 1 year back.

4. I am not sure what this is.

Congrats .. you have cleared the two tough stages of GC :) 485 is not so tough :)
