I-94 issued wrongly

Hi,

At the port of entry CBP officer issued wrong I-94

I recently came to USA on Nov 26 th 2011 with old Visa on passport which is valid upto Feb 2012, but I-797 is valid up to Feb 2014. At port of entry they have given I-94 up to Feb 2012 only.To whom I Need to contact to rectify this mistake. Some body has told me that CBP officer can Issue/rectify a I-94 mistake.

If CBP officer don't agree to rectify the validaity date what are the possibility ways to extend my I-94?

In this case is it safe that wife can attend H4 visa with the above I-94 problem?

Options

Try CBP post at a nearby international airport.

Travel and return again, this time making sure I-94 is correct.

Employer can file an extension.

Wife's H4 application should not be affected.
