shabbir
Hi, I have received my H1B visa on Nov 17 th 2011. I was on OPT and have been working since Apr 2011. I am working as a consultant. My questions are 1. What is the procedure to appy for H4. 2. What documents are required. 3. As my H1B is new how many pay slips to be submitted. I need help to understand the procedure and documentation for H4 visa processing. I appreciate your help. Thank You, Shabbir Link to comment
Attorney_22
Depending on an individual’s circumstances, H4 status can be obtained either through a change or extension of status petition in the U.S. through USCIS, or by directly obtaining an H4 visa abroad at a U.S. consulate and entering the U.S. pursuant to that visa. General documents required in a H4 application include evidence of the applicant’s relationship with the principal H1B holder, and evidence of the principal’s current H1B status. As evidence of continuing H1B employment/status it is advisable to include copies of at least your three most recent pay statements. If you have additional questions please contact a qualified U.S. immigration attorney directly. Link to comment
