Apply for GC on EB2 now or wait for 1.5 years and apply on EB1 later?

Hi All

I kinda had 2 queries which concerns L1A extension, L-H visa process and the GC process and would appreciate your help in this.

I am currently on L1A Visa which expires on 08Sep2012. My L-H maxout also happens on 08Sep2012.

I am going on vacation to India from 21Dec2011 to 15Jan2012 (~ 4 weeks).

I am planning to apply for the green card on EB2. (I have initiated the process with my company. I am not eligible for EB1)

My primary concern is that I would like to continue my stay beyond 08Sep2012.

I kinda seem to have 2 options but not sure if they are feasible:

Option 1: (this is a tight situation)

Apply for GC on EB2 (I am not eligible for EB1 based on Immigration team's analysis of my first stage docs).

Hope that I get my I140 by Mar2012.

Extend my L1A visa by 4 weeks because my maxout would extend to 4 weeks due to my vacation.

Apply for L-H conversion on 2012 quota and hope to get my H visa by October.

Option 2:

Let my L1A visa maxout on 08Sep2012.

Transfer to India and stay there for one year.

Apply for new L or H visa after the above one year.

Transfer to US and apply for GC on EB1 visa.

Can you please check out my options and let me know which way to go as this seems to get more complicated as I analyse it? Would greatly appreciate it.
