ImmigrationHelp26
Guys, I am in US on O1 visa. My company just got an H1 approved for me. I have to travel to Beijing for work next month and I was wondering if it would be advisable to just get an H1 stamp in Beijing itself. That way I don't have to go to India just for stamping. Any thoughts? Also, I work directly for my company which has about 1200 employees worldwide. Thanks.. Link to comment
man_1975
why dont you go mexico or canada ? I think it is safe side instead of beijing/China or India. Link to comment
Diorsdune
I don't know of anyone going for stamping in China. I've seen a couple of friends run in to trouble in Mexico & Canada in the last couple of months. If you can stay/work from China a little longer God forbid in case you run into admin processing.. then I would think China could be a good idea!! My opinion.. based on experiences of friends in Mexico & Canada.. but of course.. their bad experience cannot be generalized.. & I am sure.. others might have had better stamping experiences even in those countries. The above is just my opinion... do go ahead with your due diligence & Good Luck! Link to comment
leo_maverick
You can go to Beijing but make sure to have more room just in case if consulate requires some time to process your case as this is not something normal for them. Link to comment

murphyd
If you are a direct employee, you shouldn't worry much. Be confident. But it will be better to stamp your visa in your home country . Link to comment
