PD very close - Can I add my wife to my I-485 when she is on OPT

My wife is on OPT and my priority date will soon be current (July 2008). Would it be risky to add her to my I 485 considering that she is on F1- OPT which shows non-immigrant intent ?

Spouses are not "added" to the I-485. Spouses file their own I-485s, based upon the primary spouse's PD and EB category. It is possible to file an I-485 for a person on OPT. Whether or not it is advisable depends upon various factors, including when the person last applied for a visa and/or last entered the U.S.

My Wife would be applying for STEM OPT this month (her initial OPT ends in February 2012) because we are not sure when my PD would be current. Will that have a negative effect ?
