Mumbai consulate- did not drop documents on the third day

I have my H1B visa scheduled on Nov 30, 2011 and I was suppose to drop the documents on Nov 25. I was not able to reach the consulate on time and hence was not able to submit it. Does anyone know if VFS will accept my documents on Monday. I spoke to one of their call center associates and they told me that it will not be accepted.IS anyone aware of any exceptions VFS has made previously.

The requirements are very clear. It has to submitted 3 days in advance.
