skarumuri
Hi, I am having L1B Visa 2 times for 3 years (12-May-2006 to 12-May-2009) and (16-DEC-2009 to 16-Dec-2012). In between for 7 months I was there in India and worked from offshore. I am again planning to go India and work for 5 months in India (offshore) and come back again due to personal reasons. As my L1B Visa expires on Dec-2012, If my company files extension will I get again 3 years Visa (as 1 year outside U.S......will the 1 year condition fulfilled?). Or will I get only 12 months time advantage (due to 1 year outside I-94 dates) Please advice. Link to comment
Attorney_7
Generally, one may work in L1B status for 5 years maximum, not 6 years. It is strongly recommended that you consult an immigration attorney to review your extension documents and determine the correct expiration date of your 5 years in L1B status. Link to comment
