L1 Extension approved but did not receive i94

Hi,

I am currently in US and my L1 extension got approved on Nov 3rd. But, I did not receive i94 in the mail. The receipt received has the approved dates, only i94 is missing.

My employer says there might be some mistake with USCIS and he has raised a request with USCIS and at the same time asked me to be ready in case I have to go back to India.

Do I need to go back to India. Is there any solution.

Please advise.
